Calatheas
Unfortunately Calatheas have built up a reputation for being fussy over the years but with the right care and conditions, they can be much less problematic. Our care guide below takes you through different varieties, optimal conditions and common care issues. It's everything you need to have a successful growing experience with your Calathea.

The Ultimate Guide To Calatheas
Common Problems
As much as we love Calatheas, spider mites love them even more. If you notice mottling through the leaves of your Calathea and white dusty build up on the underside, you most likely have an infestation. You can learn how to treat your plants for spider mite on our Pest Control page.

Temperature changes, especially in the winter months, can cause plants to wilt without much explanation. It is best to keep Calatheas away from cold draughts and radiators, as well as rooms that experience drastic changes in temperature. Calatheas are happy at a range of 18-27°C.
