Sansevierias
Sansevieria, also known as 'snake plant', are generally a very low maintenance plant. They are also suitable for a range of different spaces in the home meaning they can be a good choice for less optimal growing areas. Sansevierias are a fantastic choice for those who are beginning their houseplant collection or people who need something that doesn't need constant attention.
The Ultimate Guide To Sansevierias
Common Problems
Sansevierias have less problems than a lot of other houseplants but they are not impervious to distress! The most common issue is the leaves becoming soft and mushy - which is often caused by overwatering. Removing any soft leaves and allowing the soil to dry completely will allow your plant to make a recovery - you can also try moving to a brighter spot if it is in lower light.
If Sansevierias are stressed (usually through under or overwatering) they can sometimes suffer from spidermite or mealybugs. With treatment these will make a good recovery as these pests aren't that obsessed with them.
