Spathiphyllum (Peace Lily)

The Peace Lily has a bad reputation for being a fussy houseplant but given the right conditions it is actually an easy plant to care for. They are also great for air quality and generally brightening up a room. Unlike many other plants, peace lilys will tell you when they need watering by flopping over very dramatically. Given some water, they will soon perk up to their normal stance in a few hours. Flowers generally only occur in spring and summer months when there are longer daylight hours so bright, indirect light and regular feeding are the key to developing flowers. Keep them away from draughts, in warm rooms (especially over winter) and can tolerate darker conditions if you aren't fussed about flowering. This plant is available in a 9cm pot.
